What is the opportunity?

Derbyshire County Council uses the SProc.Net portal for its Care Homes Brokerage system. This system enables Care Home providers who meet contracted criteria to express an interest in eligible care home placements in a fair, consistent, and transparent way.

This approach supports the Care Act 2014 duty to promote a diverse, sustainable, and high-quality care market by opening access to placement opportunities and ensuring that all suitably qualified providers have equal opportunity to offer their services.

By widening access to the market, the system helps ensure that people with care and support needs in Derbyshire can exercise real choice and control over where and how their care is delivered, in line with the Care Act’s wellbeing principle.

If you are a Care Home provider and wish to join the portal, please view the walkthrough video and supporting documentation below to find out more
